The IT Club and Book Club meetings have been canceled for the remainder of this school year.  Have a great summer!

 

Congratulations to Mack Tudor for winning the District meet in the discus. Mack's throw of 185' 5" set a new district record for all divisions and qualifies him for Regionals in Dayton next week.

Another highlight from last night's meet was the 4 x 100 meter relay team of Michael Lindsey, Jake Lawson, Sean Massey, and Zack Siemer qualifying to finals on Friday with the 6th fastest time in the meet.

ANY PARTICIPANT IN THE CYSTIC FIBROSIS WALK THIS SATURDAY-- IF YOU'D LIKE TO BRING A WHITE T-SHIRT TO DECORATE ON FRIDAY--SPANISH CLUB WILL PROVIDE MARKERS, ETC. SO THAT WE CAN HAVE OUR OWN OFFICIAL WB-AUDREY'S ALLSTARS T-SHIRT.
 
There will be an open gym for girls basketball today from 4-5:30.
 
Boys basketball open gym will be today Monday May 14th at 5:30.
 
ANY ONE WHO WOULD STILL LIKE TO JOIN THE SPANISH CLUB AT THE CYSTIC FIBROSIS WALK, NEXT SATURDAY, MAY 19TH, PLEASE SEE MRS. EKSTEDT OR MRS. FULTON AS SOON AS POSSIBLE TO GET A PERMISSION SLIP AND A REGISTRATION FORM.

The WBHS Athletic Department will be having a signing day on Wednesday, May 16th at 1:00 p.m. in the community room.  This will be for seniors who have confirmed that they have committed to play at the collegiate level.  Parents should attend and may call Tim Cook, AD with questions at (937) 444-2544.

The 2012 Donors and Recognition Dinner will be held at 5:00 p.m. on May 24th in the Auditeria.

The WBHS Spring Sports Banquet will be at 7:00 p.m. in the Auditeria on May 24th.

Last night the Western Brown Boy's Track team built on their day one lead to rack up a total of 185 points on their way to winning the 2012 SBAAC League meet for the 2nd year in a row.  Congratulations to all the team members!

There will be no open field for boys soccer Thursday.
 
Today, May 9th, the bus for tennis will leave at 3 PM to play in the pre-lim tennis match against North Western. This match will be played at Glen Este High School Tennis court, match begins at 4 PM. 
 
In the SBC Invitational Jeremy Black picked up the winning 4 points by defeating Felicity in 3 sets, 3-6,7-5,7-5 - TIE BREAKER. This helped Western Brown become the runner up for the Tom Ball SBC Invitational Tournament. Felicity came in 1st, WB 2nd. Way to go Jeremy!
 
The Bronco track team had a successful first night at the SBAAC League meet.  The boys racked up 68 points in the first day of the competition.  The finals are tonight at Bethel High School, please come out and show your support.
 
Congratulations to Chase Latham for winning the pole vault and setting a new school record with a jump of 12'6.25".
 
Mack Tudor also had a big night by winning both the shot put and discus while setting new SBC records in each event.

Juniors planning to go to NKU & UC next week:  Please return your permission slip & $4 to counselor's office by Friday. 
 
A reminder that the Seniors who are signing to play college athletics must have a signed letter from the coach or AD of the college on Athletic Department letterhead they are attending before the signing day on Wednesday, May 16th at 1:00 p.m. in the Community Room.
 
The first deposit for all summer volleyball camps is due May 15th
 
Any girls interested in playing high school soccer next fall should sign up in the office.
 
Dr Charles Miller from Wellington Ortho. and Sport Medicine will be doing sports physicals at the Western Brown High School on May 16th at 4:00 pm.  The cost is 10.00 a piece and is open to all athletes.  You must have a signed authorization form for Wellington Ortho that is available at the high school.  Please make checks out to the Western Brown Touchdown Club.  Any questions call Shannon Terwillger the Trainer at Western Brown High School 937-444-2544.

Western Brown School Based Health will be here on Friday to give Physicals for athletes interested in participating in sports during the 2012-2013 school year.  Cost is $10.00 for the physical and checks are to be made payable to HealthSource.  Stop by the high school office and pick up a form to be filled out in advance by your parent.
