Western Brown is proud to announce that our school will be going Google with 1:1 Chromebooks in 5th grade through 12th grade.  It will take a few years to roll the devices out and ensure everyone is trained on Google Classroom.  The 2018 - 2019 will be our first year with 5th graders and 9th graders receiving Chromebooks to use at home and at school.  Google Classroom is an online classroom similar to online classrooms that colleges and universities use today with their students.  It not only helps with less paper usage but also allows students to have quicker and more relevant access to learning materials and resources.

 

Letters were mailed to all 5th and 9th grade families to inform the of this initiative and invite them to the orientation on August 14 beginning at 5:00 in their buildings.  Chromebooks will be handed out at that time after all paperwork has been signed and turned in.
